The 6th edition of the Day of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises for the Ocean Division of the South Region has been launched.
The day organised by the Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises is a major gathering for local producers in Kribi.
It was marked by exhibitions and sales dedicated to the men and women who are transforming raw materials into finished goods in the Ocean Division.
The event gave small producers of the division an opportunity to speak about the difficulties they face in moving from raw materials to market-ready products, while officials responded with support measures already in place.

The closing ceremony at the National Higher Police School was presided over by Baya Dominique, Secretary General of the General Delegation for National Security, representing the Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguélé. Addressing the participants, Baya Dominique called on them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training with professionalism and responsibility. He further urged them to share the expertise gained with their colleagues and continue promoting best practices in maintaining law and order.
For his part, Ambassador Juan-Pedro Gomez Delaunay praised the professionalism, commitment and spirit of cooperation demonstrated throughout the training. He noted that the programme reflects the growing security partnership between Cameroon and Spain.
The training is expected to strengthen the capacity of National Security personnel to safeguard civil liberties, secure public spaces and effectively manage crowds during demonstrations, sporting events, cultural gatherings and other large-scale public activities.

The Minister of Water Resources and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, is currently presiding over the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a major drinking water project in the Yaoundé VII Municipality.
The project, being launched at the Usine des Eaux neighbourhood, aims to enhance the autonomous water source and strengthen water production and distribution capacities to better serve the growing population of Yaoundé.
According to project officials, the works will include the construction of new water infrastructure, reinforcement of the secondary distribution network, and the rehabilitation of existing grey cast iron and steel pipelines.

The re-elected African Kickboxing Confederation President says he will keep seeking ways for the growth of the sport.
The 46-year-old Aslam Mahomed made the comment shortly after his election during an elective general assembly this Wednesday June 24, 2026 in Yaoundé. In the meantime, Cameroon is set to host the African Kickboxing Championships, an event to be attended by athletes from some 15 nations. The competition starts on Thursday June 25, 2025.
